The New York Times has a series called ONE in 8 MILLION that profiles The Big Apple’s unique set characters. Every week they add another person to the series, highlighting the unique professions, struggles, personalities, and routines of New Yorkers. While going through the series, we stumbled upon Ra Ruiz, a 22 year old who takes refuge among the gay youth hanging out at the Christopher Street pier.
