While folks in the states are steady beefin’ and passing policies to deny basic rights to queer americans, people in singapore recently got together to form a pink dot. The pink dot is to support love in all forms between people of all orientations.
“Meeting together and seeing each other is empowering and liberating, and for many - who grew up feeling isolated and fearful - this is an important and defining moment.” says Gilbert Cheah (magazine publisher).
Although there are major bans on homosexuality in singapore, queer singaporeans are making sure that the government (and everyone for that matter) knows that they exist in a big way. Take note california…we ain’t goin’ nowhere. (via BBC NEWS)
